The single mother Nina (Cristiana Capotondi) starts a temporary job in a prestigious old people's home in Lombardy. Colleagues from both Italy and abroad work here. But she soon realizes that there is a downside: The powerful director of the institution, Marco Maria Torri (Valerio Binasco), soon demands the impossible from her, whereupon the woman makes a shocking discovery.
